Stokoderm Aqua Pure is a special skin protection cream that is used during wet work to protect the skin from prolonged or frequent contact with water or water-based substances.The cream is fragrance-free and dye-free and is suitable for workplaces where frequent hand washing is required or there is prolonged exposure to water and water-based work materials.These include, among other things, water-based cooling lubricants, detergents and cleaning agents, disinfectants, salts, mixed cement and fertilizers.The cream can be used both with gloves and personal protective equipment.

Application instructions

Before each work shift and after washing hands, 1 ml of the cream should be applied to clean and dry skin and rubbed all over the hands, including between the fingers and around the fingernails.It is important to avoid skin contact with potentially harmful substances and environments through safe work practices and the use of appropriate personal protective equipment.Where skin contact cannot be avoided, the use of a suitable skin protection cream is recommended as part of a complete skin protection program to promote healthy skin.

Stokoderm Aqua Pure has been awarded the quality seal of the European Foundation for Allergy Research (ECARF) and meets the criteria for good tolerance for sensitive skin.The cream is dermatologically tested and has a low allergenic potential.It can also be used on the face and is formulated with a low pH value (5 - 6) to minimize disruption of the skin's acid mantle.The cream is suitable for use with latex, vinyl and nitrile gloves and is compatible with alcohol-based hand sanitizers.It is silicone-free and has no negative effects on the vulcanization process in rubber production.

When used as intended, Stokoderm Aqua Pure has no influence on the quality and safety of food.The product was evaluated based on the HACCP-concept.The formulation has been independently tested in accordance with «EN ISO 4120: 2007 Sensory analysis - Methodology - Triangle test» and does not negatively affect the smell or taste of food.An independent oral toxicity assessment has concluded that foods containing trace amounts of the product are very unlikely to have an adverse toxicological effect.

Product safety

To assess the skin compatibility of the product, independent dermatological 69-hour long-term tests were carried out under semi-occlusive conditions with volunteer test subjects.The tests show that the product does not irritate the skin when used.The product has been evaluated by an independent toxicologist and declared safe for use on the hands and face for adults 16 years and older.The formulation has been assessed by an independent toxicologist to pose, at most, a minimal risk of causing an allergic skin reaction.It therefore meets the requirements to be called “hypoallergenic”.People with allergies should always check the list of ingredients before using the product.

The fragrance- and dye-free formulation showed no potential to cause skin irritation or sensitization after conducting an independent 6-week Repeat Irritation Patch Test (RIPT).The repeated occlusion irritation patch test with healthy skin subjects was performed with a water-soluble substance (sodium lauryl sulfate) applied twice daily for 30 minutes (once in the morning and once in the afternoon) for 4 days.The results show that Stokoderm Aqua Pure significantly reduces transepidermal water loss (TEWL) compared to unprotected skin.

In independent tests according to test method EN 455-2: 2009, the use of Stokoderm Aqua Pure in combination with high-quality latex, vinyl, nitrile and neoprene gloves has no harmful effects on the tensile strength of the glove material.The compatibility of Stokoderm Aqua Pure with alcohol-based hand disinfectants was tested using a modified test protocol according to EN13727.The results show that Stokoderm Aqua Pure does not negatively affect the effectiveness of alcohol-based hand disinfectants against Ps aeruginosa, E coli, S aureus and E hirae.Tests carried out by the German Institute for Rubber Technology (DIK) in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 have shown that the use of Stokoderm Aqua Pure during rubber production has no effect on the cohesive strength of rubber.
