Amflee is a veterinary medicine for the treatment of flea, tick and hairfly infestations in dogs. It contains the active ingredient fipronil and has a long-lasting effect. Hair lice are killed within 2 days, the effect against fleas remains for up to 8 weeks. It also has a persistent effect of up to 3 weeks against ticks. The medicine can be used as part of a treatment plan to control flea allergy dermatitis. It should not be used in puppies under 2 months of age and is not suitable for cats. Possible side effects include transient increased salivation and skin reactions. The application is external and the dosage is based on the body weight of the dog. Avoid licking the medicine. Precautions should be taken in case of contact with the eyes and skin. The medicine should be kept out of the reach of children and should not be disposed of with waste water.
