Instructions for use of the article Special tick forceps: The special tick pincer grips securely between the head and body of the tick and removes it either by slowly twisting or carefully pulling. The tick pincer is handy and small and can be used on both humans and animals. It is recommended to remove the tick early by either twisting it out or pulling it out. Using the "special tick forceps" with their precise gripping arms prevents the head from getting stuck. It is strongly discouraged to suffocate the tick beforehand, as this may result in the release of pathogens from the tick's intestine. The special tick forceps come with a container to store the removed tick so that it can be examined by a doctor or pharmacist.
