Summary: PAROEX 1.2 mg/ml mouthwash is an antiseptic mouthwash containing chlorhexidine digluconate as the active ingredient. It is used for the treatment of oral mucosal infections and for postoperative treatment after dental surgery in adults and children aged 6 years and over. The mouthwash should be used one to three times a day after meals. It is applied by rinsing the mouth with 15 ml of mouthwash for one minute, then spitting it out. PAROEX should not be used for more than 5 days in a row unless recommended by a doctor. It is important to keep the mouthwash out of the reach of children and not to use it after the expiry date. Side effects may include taste disturbance and temporary discolouration of the tongue and tooth surface. People with hypersensitivity to the ingredients should not use the mouthwash.
