Legalon forte Madaus is a herbal medicinal product used for the supportive treatment of chronic inflammatory liver diseases, liver cirrhosis and toxic liver damage. It contains the active substance milk thistle fruit dry extract. The recommended dosage for adolescents aged 12 and over and adults is 1 hard capsule 3 times a day before meals. The duration of use depends on the symptoms and the course of the disease. Possible side effects are gastrointestinal complaints and hypersensitivity reactions of the skin. The medicine should not be taken if there is hypersensitivity to the ingredients or in children under 12 years of age. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should also not use the medicine. Legalon forte Madaus is available in packs of 30, 60, 100 or 180 hard capsules.
