Avene SunsiMed Emulsion has been specially developed for skin that is hypersensitive to the sun and offers highly effective protection against sun-related UV-damage.The product has a preventive effect against actinic keratosis, skin cancer (except melanoma) and light-induced skin aging.It is suitable for adults with sensitive skin prone to actinic keratosis.No prescription is required for this product.

Mode of action

Avene SunsiMed Emulsion provides highly effective protection against UV-B and UV-A radiation, visible light and infrared.The product contains a complex light-stable filter system that protects the skin from sunlight on a daily basis.Thanks to its exclusive protective complex resulting from Pierre Fabre's research, SunsiMed, a Class I medical device, protects the skin from the harmful effects of the sun.The antioxidant tocopheryl glucoside it contains provides long-lasting protection for the skin against cell damage caused by oxidative stress.Avène thermal water has a soothing, irritation-relieving and anti-inflammatory effect on the skin.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the above ingredients, this product should not be used.Do not apply to mucous membranes or injured skin.

Dosage

Recommended use of Avene SunsiMed Emulsion: Apply evenly to the face and sun-exposed areas of the body in the morning.SunsiMed should be reapplied in the event of prolonged exposure to the sun, heavy sweating or contact with water.The recommended dosage is: neck and décolleté 1 pump stroke each, face 2 pump strokes, forearms 2 pump strokes, head 3 pump strokes and back of hands 1 pump stroke per back of hand.The maximum application quantity per day is 21 pumps.

Notes

Avoid direct contact with the sun by wearing protective clothing (hat, glasses, T-shirt, etc.).

In-vivo study using human skin biopsies to prevent light-induced DNA-damage during extreme and repeated UV-exposure.Assessment of the number of DNA-damages of untreated and SunsiMed treated zones after 5 days.The result showed excellent protection against light-induced DNA-damage under conditions corresponding to intense and chronic sun exposure.Reduction of DNA-lesions by 99.2%.
