Perio Aid Intensive Care Tooth Gel is a gel that is used for brushing teeth and for local application in the mouth.It is particularly recommended after dental treatments and in people with excessive accumulation of oral biofilm, also known as dental plaque.The gel is suitable for specific areas of the mouth and is non-abrasive.It can be used at the same time as a chlorhexidine-based mouthwash because it does not contain anionic ingredients that could interfere with the effectiveness of chlorhexidine.

Perio Aid Intensive Care Tooth Gel contains the following ingredients: Aqua, Glycerin, Xylitol, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Peg-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Polyethylene, Chlorhexidine Digluconate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Saccharin, Aroma and C.I.42090.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients mentioned, the product should not be used.

Dosage

Perio Aid Intensive Care Tooth Gel should be used carefully to brush your teeth at least twice a day, paying particular attention to the affected areas.The gel must not be swallowed and can also be applied locally.

Notes

During use, temporary changes in taste sensation may occur, but these usually diminish over time.The product contains chlorhexidine, which may temporarily discolor teeth and tongue.These discolorations usually occur after prolonged use and upon contact with certain foods and drinks such as red wine, coffee, tea and tobacco.The discoloration is not permanent and can be avoided by careful brushing and using interdental brushes.They can also be easily removed by a dentist's office.
