Perio-Aid Intensive Care tooth gel is a non-abrasive gel used after dental treatments. It is also suitable for people who have excessive amounts of oral biofilm (plaque). The gel can be applied locally or used to brush the teeth. It can also be used in combination with a chlorhexidine-based mouthwash. Perio-Aid Intensive Care Gel does not contain any ingredients that could interfere with the effect of chlorhexidine. Temporary changes in taste sensation may occur during use, but these generally diminish over time. Chlorhexidine may temporarily discolour the teeth and tongue, especially with prolonged use and contact with certain foods and drinks. However, this discolouration is not permanent and can be avoided by thorough tooth brushing and use of interdental brushes. If necessary, they can also be removed by dental professionals.
