Gingobeta 80 mg film-coated tablets are a herbal medicinal product for improving age-related cognitive impairment and quality of life in mild dementia. The active ingredients come from the leaves of the ginkgo tree and improve blood flow and oxygen supply to the brain. The recommended dosage for adults and elderly patients is 1 1/2 film-coated tablets twice daily. The tablets should be taken with liquid and can be taken independently of meals. The medicine must not be taken if you are allergic to ginkgo biloba extract or any of the other ingredients, or during pregnancy. There are certain warnings and precautions that you should talk to your doctor or pharmacist about. Possible side effects include headache, dizziness, diarrhoea, lower abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting. There is no information on dosage in case of impaired kidney or liver function.
