The Bad Aiblinger Moor Cushion is a thermal cushion that is used for local heat and cold therapy.It supports the treatment of various complaints such as back pain, lumbago, sciatica, sprains, bruises and rheumatic complaints.Each moor cushion is made by hand.

Moor has unique properties, in particular the ability to store heat or cold for a long time and slowly release it again.Compared to other materials such as water, thermogel or mud, natural moor can store heat significantly longer and release it more slowly.

In the case of complaints that can be traced back to signs of wear and tear, the heat relieves the pain, promotes blood circulation and thus the supply of nutrients to the cells and joints.The long-lasting heat release loosens and relaxes the hardened muscles.

Before processing, the freshly cut Bad Aiblinger Moor is cleared of stones and small branches.The cleaned moor is enriched with water and stirred into an airy paste.The pulp is then filled by hand into a soft film and sealed.The increased inclusion of air increases the ability to store and release heat or cold.

Moor cushion heat therapy

Application

Heating in a water bath: Place the moor cushion in hot water for 10 - 15 minutes - remove the pot from the stove beforehand!- or pour boiling water over it in a bowl.

Heating in the microwave: Turn off the grill, heat the moor pillow in one minute increments on a low setting to the desired temperature, kneading in between.Heating in the microwave leads to a reduction in lifespan.

The optimal treatment temperature is between 38°C and 55°C.Check temperature with the back of your hand before use.At higher temperatures, use in a cloth or in a moor cushion cover is recommended!Caution: Do not heat in the oven!This leads to the destruction of the film.

To cool: Place the moor pillow in the refrigerator for about two hours.Do not put the moor pillow in the freezer!

Storage recommendation
