The secret of ThermaCare heating pads lies in their composition.During use, iron powder and oxygen meet, producing heat.This heat is delivered directly to the affected areas.After around 30 minutes, a therapeutic temperature of around 40 °C is reached, which is then held constant for several hours.For effective relief, you should wear ThermaCare for at least 3 hours continuously.You can achieve the ideal effect by wearing it for up to 12 hours.

Area of application

ThermaCare heat pads are particularly suitable for treating non-specific pain caused by tension in the muscles, joints or tissue in the neck and shoulder area.They are not suitable for acute pain caused by injuries, inflammation or swelling.The skin-friendly pads with 10 patented heat cells are ergonomically shaped and are glued to the skin with two adhesive points.They provide effective and targeted relief from muscle and/or joint pain associated with overexertion, strains and sprains, osteoarthritis and muscle tension.Suitable for acute, chronic and occasional pain.This product is intended for patients aged 12 and over who can use the product independently.

Mode of action

Iron powder and oxygen come together in ThermaCare heating pads.This chemical reaction produces heat that is released into the body.

Dosage

Tear open the bag immediately before use.Do not cut into the heat envelope.Peel off the paper to reveal the adhesive side.Place over the pain area with the adhesive side facing the skin.It may take up to 30 minutes for ThermaCare to reach its therapeutic temperature.Remove the heat pack after 12 hours.Do not use the product for more than 12 hours in a 24-hour period.Do not attach the heat envelope too tightly and do not allow the heat cells to overlap.Do not put additional pressure on the product, e.g.B. by leaning against hard surfaces or wearing under tight clothing.If the product feels too hot, stop using or wear it over thin clothing rather than directly on the skin.To avoid an increased risk of burns, remove the product before undergoing a MRT-procedure (magnetic resonance imaging).Keep the heat wrap dry.

Notes

No prescription is required for this product.This product may cause burns/blisters.Check your skin regularly during use.If you notice skin irritation or burns, remove the product immediately.For users who cannot use the product independently or for users between 12 and 18 years of age: Supervision by a carer is required.Your risk of burns increases as you age.If you are 55 or older, wear ThermaCare over thin clothing and not while you sleep. Talk to your doctor before use if you have diabetes, circulatory problems, heart disease or rheumatoid arthritis, or if you are pregnant.Stop use and talk to your doctor if you notice any discomfort, burning, swelling, rashes or other persistent changes in your skin in the application area and if your pain persists for more than 7 days or worsens.

Do not apply

Do not use if the heat cells are leaking and/or the heat envelope is damaged or torn or the packaging is damaged.Do not use together with externally applied preparations.Do not use on diseased, damaged or injured skin.Not on bruises or swelling that have occurred in the last 48 hours.Not for people who cannot follow the instructions for use or who cannot remove the product themselves.Do not use with other types of heat.Do not use on users under 12 years of age.Do not use on any part of the body other than the neck, shoulder or wrist.
