The Domotherm Junior digital fever thermometer (duck design) is a thermometer specifically designed for children; it can be used to measure body temperature rectally, orally, or under the arm.It features a flexible tip and provides a fast reading starting at 30 seconds.It is also equipped with a fever alarm and stores the last measured value.

Intended Use

This digital fever thermometer is suitable for the rectal, oral, or axillary self-measurement of human body temperature in direct mode.It is particularly well-suited for measuring the temperature of children.

Usage

For rectal measurement, carefully insert the tip 1–2 cm.The minimum measurement time is 30 seconds.For oral measurement, avoid consuming hot or cold food and drinks for at least 10 minutes prior to the measurement.Place the tip in one of the two heat pockets under the tongue, to the left or right of the base of the tongue.Close the mouth and breathe calmly through the nose.The minimum measurement time is 60 seconds.For axillary (underarm) measurement, the skin must be completely dry.Position the tip under the arm so that it makes good contact with the skin.Place the arm across the chest so that the tip fits snugly.The minimum measurement time is 3 minutes.

How It Works

The duration of the measurement depends on the measurement site.Rectally, the minimum measurement time is 30 seconds.For oral measurement, the duration increases to 60 seconds.Underarm measurement requires a bit more patience; the minimum measurement time here is 3 minutes.
