OneTouch Ultra® Plus test strips

The OneTouch Ultra® Plus test strips offer fast and reliable results for blood glucose measurement.They are clinically proven to be accurate and only require a small amount of blood of 0.4 μl.The results are available after just 5 seconds.The test strips can be filled on both sides, making them ideal for both right- and left-handed people.The functionality of the OneTouch Ultra Plus Reflect™ blood glucose meter and test strips can be checked at any time with the ONETOUCH Ultra® Plus control solution.No prescription is required for this product.

Using the test strips

To insert the test strip into the blood glucose meter, hold it so that the contact strips are facing you.You need at least 0.4 μl of blood for the measurement.Once the test strip is inserted into the device, instructions to apply the blood sample appear.Gently bring the blood drop into contact with the test strip channel and wait until the confirmation window is completely filled.Once the channel is colored red, you will get the result within 5 seconds.Be careful not to apply the drop of blood to the tip or side of the test strip.

Storing the test strips

Store the test strips in a cool, dry place between 5°C and 30°C.Do not perform tests if condensation has formed on your meter.Do not open the test strip vial until you are ready to take a test strip and use it immediately after taking it, especially in humid environments.Always close the tube tightly after collection to avoid contamination.Only keep the test strips in their original tube and do not put used test strips back.Use each test strip only once and make sure it is not bent or damaged.When opening a new tube for the first time, write the disposal date on the label.

Using the control solution

You should use the control solution after opening a new vial of test strips if you suspect that the meter or test strips are not working properly, or if you have repeatedly received unexpected blood glucose test results.The control solution is used to check that the blood glucose meter and test strips are functioning properly.Use only the ONETOUCH Ultra® Plus control solution for the high range (concentration level 4) or for the medium range (concentration level 3).Each concentration level has different value ranges to test functionality.Switch your measuring device to “measure with control solution” to mark the results accordingly.
