Advantix spot-on solution for dropping onto the skin is a veterinary medicinal product for dogs for the treatment and prevention of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis, Ctenocephalides canis) as well as hair lice infestations (Trichodectes canis). It has a killing and repelling effect against ticks (Rhipicephalus sanguineus, Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor recticulatus) for four weeks and reduces the risk of transmission of Ehrlichia canis. It also provides protection against butterflies, mosquitoes and biting flies for two to four weeks and reduces the risk of infection by sandfly-borne pathogens (Leishmania infantum) for up to three weeks. The application is done by evenly applying the solution to four points along the dorsal line of the dog. The solution should not be too large to avoid running down. It is recommended to remove ticks at the time of treatment. Advantix Spot-on is suitable for dogs from 10 kg body weight. The package leaflet should be read before use and a vet or pharmacist should be consulted if there are any questions or risks.
