Directions for use of the article Amflee combo 50/60 mg solution for cats for eye drops Amflee combo 50 mg/60 mg solution for cats is a medicinal product for the treatment of flea, tick and hairfly infestations in cats. It contains the active ingredients fipronil and (S)-methoprene. The solution is applied directly to the cats' skin in the neck region in front of the shoulder blades. It is important to ensure that the solution is applied in a place where the animal cannot lick it off and that the treated animals do not lick each other after application. The killing efficacy against fleas lasts for 4 weeks, while the killing efficacy against ticks lasts up to 2 weeks. Flea reproduction is prevented for 6 weeks after treatment. There are some contraindications and precautions that should be observed. The medicine should not be used on kittens under 8 weeks of age or weighing less than 1 kg. In addition, it should not be used in sick animals or those recovering from an illness. The medicine should also be avoided in cases of hypersensitivity to fipronil, (S)-methoprene or other ingredients. It should also not be applied to wounds or damaged skin. The medicinal product must not be used on rabbits or other non-target species. Side effects are rare and may include skin reactions at the application site, itching, salivation, reversible neurological symptoms or vomiting.
