LyZink against herpes capsules are a dietary food for special medical purposes, specially developed for the dietary management of herpes simplex labialis.It contains L-lysine hydrochloride and zinc to meet the special needs of these nutrients in herpes diseases.No prescription is required for this product.

Herpes simplex labialis

Cold sores are a viral infection caused by the herpes simplex virus type 1.About 90% of people carry this virus, and around 30% of those affected suffer from recurring infections.In around 1% of virus carriers, symptoms even occur monthly.

The importance of L-lysine for herpes

L-lysine is an essential amino acid that the body cannot produce itself and must therefore obtain from food.Herpes viruses require the amino acid arginine to grow.L-lysine acts as an antagonist to arginine.If there is more lysine than arginine, the virus is disrupted in its DNA , resulting in growth arrest.This means that L-lysine can provide dietary support for the treatment of herpes simplex labialis.Vegetarians in particular are often deficient in lysine, as it is mainly found in animal foods.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The capsules contain L-lysine hydrochloride from corn, gelatin from beef, zinc gluconate, anti-caking agent magnesium salts of fatty acids and the coloring agent calcium carbonate.The filling height of the capsules can vary for technical reasons.Each 7 capsules contains 0.4 g L-lysine hydrochloride and 2.6 mg zinc.The recommended daily dose of 100 g contains 62 g of L-lysine hydrochloride and 500 mg of zinc.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, the product should not be used.

Dosage

As a first dose, 3 capsules should be taken whole with a little liquid at the first signs of cold sores.Afterwards, 1 capsule can be taken up to 4 times a day at intervals of 2 hours.From the second day onwards, 1 capsule 4 times a day is recommended until all capsules have been consumed.To maintain lysine levels, 1-3 capsules can be taken per day.

Nutritional tips for herpes diseases

L-arginine promotes the outbreak and multiplication of herpes viruses.Therefore, foods rich in arginine such as grain products, nuts and chocolate should be avoided.Lysine-rich foods such as legumes, beans, potatoes, dairy products, fish, bean sprouts, green vegetables, parsley, celery, beets, orange fruits such as apricots, and pears and grapes should be preferred.

LyZink against herpes capsules should not be taken together with calcium preparations.It is important to follow the recommended consumption and medical advice and not to exceed the recommended daily consumption amount.The product is not a complete meal, but a complementary balanced diet that should be used as part of a diet plan and under medical supervision.Due to the special mineral requirements of the affected patients, the zinc content is increased.

LyZink against herpes capsules should not be taken in cases of severe kidney damage, acute kidney failure, active autoimmune diseases, during pregnancy, breastfeeding and before operations.
