Summary: Hand disinfection with ethanol 70 % (V/V) is a disinfectant for hygienic hand disinfection and for the preparation of cold wraps. It is indispensable especially in medical areas, as simple hand washing is not sufficient. Ethanol 70 % (V/V) Pflüger® is free of re-fats and care substances which can trigger allergies. For hygienic hand disinfection, the hands are rubbed with the solution and kept moist for 1 minute. For the preparation of cooling envelopes, the solution is diluted with equal parts of water. Use for disinfecting large-area, open wounds is not recommended. Side effects such as redness and slight burning may occur. Further information can be found in the package leaflet.
