Althera powder is a food for special medical purposes that serves as a balanced diet.It is based on extensively hydrolyzed whey protein (eHF) and contains HMO (2’FL & LNnT) as well as long-chain, polyunsaturated fatty acids (LC-PUFA).The product is gluten-free but contains lactose and is dietary complete.

Indications

Althera powder is used for diet management of cow's milk allergy and/or soy protein allergy as well as allergies to other dietary proteins.No prescription is required for this product.

Contraindication

The product must not be used in galactosemia and glucose-galactose malabsorption.

Application

Althera powder is suitable as the sole source of nutrition from birth.The amount of food and fluid required should be determined by the attending physician.It is important to follow the storage and use instructions as well as the dosage table on the product.Once opened, the product should be used within 3 weeks.

Althera powder should be used under medical supervision.Breastfeeding is the best nutrition for your child.Consult your pediatrician before using this food.The product is suitable for supplementary nutrition for children aged 1 year and over.Supplementary food should only be introduced after consulting your pediatrician.
