To find the right size for TENA® Pants Maxi, you should use the hip circumference as a guide, not the clothing size of the underwear.The disposable trousers are available in four sizes: S for a hip circumference of 65 to 85 cm, M for 80 to 110 cm, L for 100 to 135 cm and XL for 120 to 160 cm.The absorbency of the TENA® Pants Maxi M is 8 out of 8 drops.

Even if you have bladder weakness, it is important to drink enough to avoid urinary tract infections.Experts recommend 1.5 to 2 liters of water and unsweetened fruit and herbal teas every day.Strong diuretic drinks such as coffee, black tea, caffeinated sodas and alcohol should be avoided. Are there different types of incontinence?

Yes, there are four main types of incontinence, varying in type, intensity and cause.These include stress or stress incontinence, urge incontinence, overflow incontinence and reflex incontinence.Each of these types has specific causes and characteristics.

Stress or stress incontinence

This type of incontinence occurs when urine is lost uncontrollably during physical exertion such as coughing, sneezing or laughing.This happens due to weakened pelvic floor muscles and increasing pressure in the abdominal cavity.

Urge incontinence

In this form of incontinence, the loss of urine occurs suddenly and is due to overactivity of the bladder.Even with a small amount of urine, a strong urge to urinate is felt, causing the muscles to contract and excrete urine uncontrollably.

Overflow incontinence

This type of incontinence is caused by a constantly overfilled bladder where bladder pressure exceeds urethral closure pressure.This is often due to obstructions to drainage in the bladder.

Reflex incontinence
