Instructions for use of the article HYLO Night eye ointment: HYLO Night is a sterile eye ointment containing vitamin A for application to the eye. It improves the tear film and protects the surface of the eye. HYLO Night is particularly soft and supple, spreads well on the surface of the eye and contains vitamin A, which is a natural component of the tear film. This allows the ointment to be well tolerated and relieves the feeling of burning, dry or tired eyes. The eyelids glide smoothly over the cornea and conjunctiva. The eye ointment is particularly recommended for complaints such as burning, itching and a feeling of dryness in the eyes caused by air conditioning, wind, cold, sunlight or poor air quality. Night HYLO can also be used in cases of concentrated vision, e.g. screen work, watching television or driving at night, as well as when wearing contact lenses. The ointment should be applied especially before going to bed to prevent discomfort when the eyes are first opened in the morning. It is applied by holding the tube over the eye in an upright position, inserting a small strand of ointment into the conjunctival sac and slowly closing the eyelids. The frequency of application depends on individual symptoms and lifestyle habits. HYLO Night can be applied once a day before bedtime if needed, or three times a day if the symptoms are severe. There is no restriction on the duration of use. The storage of HYLO Night should be at temperatures below 25 °C. The ointment can be used for 6 months after opening the tube. The composition of HYLO Night includes retinol palmitate (vitamin A), thick and thin paraffin, lanolin and white petrolatum. HYLO Night is free of preservatives and phosphates. The ointment is suitable as a nightly supplement to moisturising eye drops for all stages of dry eye.
