Instructions for use for H&S Oak bark tea, 160 g

H&S tea Oak bark is a herbal medicinal product that can be used for various complaints. It is used internally for acute diarrhoea and mild inflammation of the mouth, throat, genital and anal areas. Externally, it can be used in inflammatory skin diseases to promote the formation of scabs. The dosage for adolescents from 12 years and adults is 1.5 g (1/2 tablespoon) twice daily. The recommended duration of use is a maximum of 2 days for diarrhoea and a maximum of 1 week for inflammation of the mouth and throat. Side effects are not known so far. The medicine should not be used in cases of hypersensitivity to the ingredients, major skin injuries, febrile illnesses, infections, severe cardiac insufficiency and high blood pressure. The product should also not be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding and in children under 12 years of age. There should be no interactions with other medicines. Oak bark has an anti-inflammatory and anti-diarrhoeal effect due to its ingredients, especially tannins. The medicinal product should be stored away from heat, moisture and light.
