Leukomed® skin sensitive is a skin-friendly wound dressing that was specially developed for patients with sensitive or already damaged skin.The sterile fleece bandage offers an effective barrier against pathogens and bacteria and ensures it is comfortable to wear.It consists of a cross-elastic polyester fleece with a soft surface and an absorbent wound dressing made of viscose fleece, coated with polypropylene.This is suitable for lightly to moderately secreting wounds.

Leukomed® skin sensitive is particularly suitable for older patients with fragile skin, skin damaged by illnesses, medications or long-term treatments, babies and small children with sensitive skin, for covering closed surgical wounds and for weak to moderately secreting wounds of all kinds. The dressing protects the skin from the penetration of pathogens and dirt and is breathable, which supports the healing process.

Leukomed® skin sensitive covers and protects wounds, for example closed surgical wounds, cuts or abrasions.The dressing is absorbent for lightly to moderately exuding wounds and absorbs blood and wound fluid.It does not stick to the wound and is indifferent to radiation, so it does not need to be removed for X-rays or MRIs.Thanks to its air and water vapor permeable properties, the bandage is breathable and gentle on sensitive or damaged skin.Painless removal is made possible by the application of silicone.

Leukomed® skin sensitive is a sterile wound dressing with wound dressing for lightly to moderately secreting wounds, such as cuts or abrasions.It is particularly suitable for fragile or already damaged skin.Thanks to the gentle Skin Sensitive technology, a skin-friendly silicone application is achieved with a secure hold and also enables gentle removal.

The bandage is sterile and therefore suitable for covering wounds after operations.It is available in various sizes, including 8cm x 10cm, and is packaged in boxes of 20.

Dosage

Recommended use of Leukomed® skin sensitive: The bandage is an absorbent, sterile wound dressing for fragile skin.To use, remove the first carrier film from the wound dressing, apply the area with the silicone application to the skin so that the wound dressing is placed on the wound, carefully remove the second carrier film and lightly smooth the wound dressing.

How long can Leukomed® skin sensitive be worn?The duration of wear depends on the individual case and should be discussed with the treating doctor or nursing staff.In general, a wound can be treated safely with Leukomed® skin sensitive for one or several days due to the reliable adhesion of the silicone application.The rounded corners prevent the fleece bandage from coming off prematurely.

Does Leukomed® skin sensitive have to be removed before an X-ray examination?No.Leukomed® skin sensitive is indifferent to radiation, which means that no X-rays are absorbed.The protective bandage therefore does not need to be removed for X-ray examinations or magnetic resonance imaging (MRT).

Does Leukomed® skin sensitive contain latex?No.Natural rubber latex is deliberately avoided in the production of Leukomed® skin sensitive.Thanks to the latex-free formula, the product can also be used by people who are allergic to latex.

Is Leukomed® skin sensitive available in different sizes?For the sterile care of various wound sizes, Leukomed® skin sensitive is available in four dimensions: 5 x 7.2 cm, 8 x 10 cm, 8 x 15 cm and 10 x 25 cm.All dimensions are available in boxes of 5 or 20.For hygienic reasons, each wound dressing is individually packaged.
