Leukomed® skin sensitive is a skin-friendly wound dressing that was specially developed for patients with sensitive or already damaged skin.It offers an effective barrier against pathogens and bacteria and is particularly suitable for surgical wounds and traumatic wounds.The sterile fleece bandage consists of a transversely elastic polyester fleece with a soft surface, which ensures it is comfortable to wear.The wound dressing is made of viscose fleece, which is coated with polypropylene and is very absorbent.It is suitable for slightly to moderately exuding wounds.Thanks to its special nature, the wound pad does not stick to the wound, which prevents further skin damage.The air and water vapor permeable materials allow the skin to breathe and support the healing process.Patients particularly appreciate the painless removal of the wound dressing, which is made possible by the application of silicone.

Leukomed® skin sensitive is particularly suitable for older patients with fragile skin, skin damaged by illnesses, medications or long-term treatments, babies and small children with sensitive skin, for covering closed surgical wounds and for all types of weak to moderately secreting wounds.

Leukomed® skin sensitive covers and protects wounds, e.g.B. closed surgical wounds, cuts and abrasions.The dressing is absorbent for mildly to moderately secreting wounds and absorbs blood and wound fluid.It does not stick to the wound and is indifferent to radiation, so it does not need to be removed for X-rays or MRIs.The breathable, air and water vapor permeable properties protect the skin and promote wound healing.The bandage is gentle on sensitive or damaged skin and allows for painless removal thanks to the silicone application.

Dosage

Recommended use of Leukomed® skin sensitive: Leukomed® skin sensitive is an absorbent, sterile wound dressing for fragile skin.To use, remove the first carrier film from the wound dressing.Apply the area with the silicone application to the skin so that the wound dressing is placed on the wound.Carefully peel off the second backing film and lightly smooth the wound dressing.

Information

How long the bandage should remain on the wound or how often a bandage change is necessary always depends on the individual case and should be discussed with the treating doctor or nursing staff.In general, a wound can be treated safely with Leukomed® skin sensitive for one or several days due to the reliable adhesion of the silicone application.In addition, the rounded corners prevent the fleece bandage from coming off prematurely.

Leukomed® skin sensitive is indifferent to radiation, which means that no X-rays are absorbed.The protective bandage therefore does not need to be removed for X-ray examinations or magnetic resonance imaging (MRT).

Natural rubber latex is deliberately avoided in the production of Leukomed® skin sensitive.Thanks to the latex-free formula, the product can also be used by people who are allergic to latex.

For the sterile care of various wound sizes, Leukomed® skin sensitive is available in four dimensions: 5 x 7.2 cm, 8 x 10 cm, 8 x 15 cm and 10 x 25 cm.All dimensions are available in boxes of 5 or 20.For hygienic reasons, each wound dressing is individually packaged.
