VSL#3 Powders

VSL#3 is a high-dose dietary supplement that contains over 450 billion live bacteria per dose.It consists of a mixture of 8 different strains of bacteria, including lactic acid bacteria, bifidobacteria and streptococci, which occur naturally in the human intestine.No prescription is required for this product.

Bacterial strains in VSL#3

One bag VSL#3 contains 450 billion live bacteria from the following strains:

Three strains of bifidobacteria: Bifidobacterium breve, Bifidobacterium longum and Bifidobacterium infantis.

Four strains of lactic acid bacteria: Lactobacillus paracasei, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus plantarum and Lactobacillus delbrueckii subspecies bulgaricus.

A strain of streptococcus: Streptococcus thermophilus.

Ingredients

The ingredients of VSL#3 include maltose, 450 billion live lactic acid bacteria and bifidobacteria, corn starch and the anti-caking agent silicon dioxide.The specific bacterial strains are S. thermophilus BT01, B. breve BB02, B. longum BL03 (reclassified as B. animalis subsp. lactis BL03), B. infantis BI04 (reclassified as B. animalis subsp. lactis BI04), L. acidophilus BA05, L. plantarum BP06, L. paracasei BP07 and L. delbrueckii subsp.bulgaricus BD08 (reclassified as L. helveticus).

Recommended consumption

The recommended consumption amount is 1-2 sachets per day.The contents of one sachet should be stirred into water, yoghurt, apple juice or another non-carbonated cold drink and consumed immediately.

I've had CU for years, just couldn't get into remission in the long term. I changed my doctor and the new one recommended VSL3 because there are good studies on it. I've been taking it for 1/2 year now since November. And I am finally symptom-free.

I was recommended the probiotic by my gastroenterologist as I probably have an "irritable bowel syndrome". I've already taken umpteen other probiotics from Amazon and the like - but none of them helped. With Vsl3 I finally see a ray of hope. After just 2 weeks, my bowels became more relaxed and calmer and I simply feel much better. I'm going to do a 3-month course and I can't wait to see how great I feel.

I have been suffering from irritable bowel syndrome for 20 years. Abdominal pain and a bloated stomach are part of my life. The constant fear of sudden diarrhoea and no toilet nearby is unfortunately part of my life! So far - I have been recommended VSL#3 by my new nutritionist and I am delighted. This is now my 2nd pack and my stomach is much smaller and the constant pressure in my stomach is gone. The diarrhoea has also settled down. It's not perfect yet, but what do you expect after 20 years of constant problems. I will definitely continue to take the product!

VSL#3 was recommended to me by my GP and I am very happy with it. After a short period of familiarisation, it regulates the intestinal flora wonderfully and gently. One sachet a day is enough with the high dosage!

i heard about the product in the adverts and was very curious. I have had problems with my bowels for 20 years and have now bought the product. I'm now taking it for the 2nd time for 30 days and it definitely got better with the first pack. I'll keep taking it. You just have to be patient. If you've had something for 20 years, you can't expect it to be gone in 2 weeks. The gut is too complex for that! I'm definitely delighted.

We have been taking VSL3 for years (irritable bowel syndrome in the family) when the pain and all the typical symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome occur. The symptoms quickly subside and we feel much better. Highly recommended!!!!
