Echinacin juice is a herbal medicine that is used to support the treatment of recurring infections in the respiratory tract.The active ingredient in this product is dried pressed juice from fresh, flowering purple coneflower herb.No prescription is required for this product.

Areas of application

Echinacin juice is used to support the treatment of recurring infections in the respiratory tract.If symptoms persist for a long time, shortness of breath, fever or purulent or bloody sputum, a doctor should be consulted.

Important notes

Echinacin juice must not be taken if you are hypersensitive to purple coneflower or any of the other ingredients of the drug or to daisy plants.The medicine should also not be used in progressive systemic diseases such as tuberculosis, leukemia, inflammatory diseases of the connective tissue, multiple sclerosis, AIDS-diseases, HIV-infections, chronic viral diseases and autoimmune diseases.Children under 4 years of age must not take echinacin juice.

There are no sufficient studies on the use of this medicine during pregnancy and breastfeeding.It should therefore not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Dosage and instructions for use

Children between 4 and 6 years of age take 2.5 ml of Echinacin juice in sufficient liquid three times a day.Children between 6 and 12 years take 5 ml of Echinacin juice twice a day in sufficient liquid.Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over take 5 ml of echinacin juice in sufficient liquid three times a day.The total dose should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.

Echinacin juice should not be taken for longer than 2 weeks.If you take more echinacin juice than you should, please contact a doctor.If you forget to take Echinacin juice, do not take double the amount next time, but continue taking it.

Side effects

Hypersensitivity reactions can occur very rarely.Skin rash, itching, rarely facial swelling, shortness of breath, dizziness and drop in blood pressure have been observed for medicines containing preparations from echinacea.In these cases you should stop taking the medicine and consult your doctor.

Composition

The active ingredient is dried pressed juice from fresh, flowering purple coneflower.The other ingredients are potassium sorbate, citric acid, xanthan gum, xylitol, orange flavor and water.

Storage

Keep medicines out of the reach of children.The expiry date of this pack is printed on the folding box and on the label.Do not use this pack after this date!The medicine has a shelf life of 8 weeks after opening.Do not store above 25ºC.
