Instructions for use of Hexacyl

Hexacyl is a homeopathic medicine for the supportive treatment of functional disorders of the liver, gallbladder and kidneys.It is intended for adults and teenagers aged 12 and over.No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The active ingredients of Hexacyl are Sulfur D4, Lycopodium mother tincture and Berberis mother tincture.Other ingredients are ethanol 43% (m/m) and purified water.It contains 300 mg Sulfur, 10 mg Lycopodium clavatum and 5 mg Berberis vulgaris.

Areas of application

Hexacyl is used as a supportive treatment for functional disorders of the liver, bile and kidneys.The areas of application are derived from the homeopathic drug pictures.These include disorders of the detoxification functions of the liver and kidneys, various complaints of the gastrointestinal tract, skin changes such as dry or purulent eczema, tension and pain in the musculoskeletal system as well as cardiac disorders.

Application

In acute conditions, adults and adolescents aged 12 and over take 5-10 drops every half to an hour, a maximum of 12 times a day.In chronic forms, 5 drops should be taken 1-3 times a day.The drops should be taken with some drinking water.

Contraindications and precautions

Hexacyl must not be taken by alcoholics.If you have liver disease, it should only be used after consulting your doctor.Due to the alcohol content and lack of sufficient experience, it should not be used on children under 12 years of age.Hexacyl should also not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Side effects and interactions

So far there are no known side effects.Interactions with other medicines are not known.Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you notice any side effects.

Storage

Keep medicines out of the reach of children.Hexacyl should not be used after the expiry date stated on the bottle label and outer packaging.It should not be stored above 25°C.

Hexacyl contains 59.9% alcohol (ethanol) by volume.Taking large amounts of the drug can lead to alcohol poisoning, especially in young children.When taking the entire contents of the bottle, the following are absorbed: 10 ml bottle = 5.5g alcohol;30ml bottle = 16.4g alcohol;100 ml bottle = 54.4g alcohol.
