Important notes
Cefadyn film-coated tablets contain the active ingredient butcher's broom rhizome dry extract.This traditional herbal medicine is used to improve leg problems with a feeling of heaviness in the legs in the case of mild venous circulation disorders and to relieve itching and burning in hemorrhoids.No prescription is required for this product.

What Cefadyn is and what it is used for?
Cefadyn is a traditional herbal medicine.It is traditionally used to improve leg problems with a feeling of heaviness in the legs in the case of mild venous circulation disorders and to relieve itching and burning in hemorrhoids.This medicine is a traditional medicine that is registered for the areas of application based solely on long-term use.
What do you need to consider before taking Cefadyn?
Cefadyn must not be taken if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to the active ingredient or any of the other ingredients.Particular caution is required when taking Cefadyn if skin inflammation, hardening under the skin, ulcers, sudden swelling of one or both legs or impaired heart or kidney function occur.If traces of blood appear in your stool, you should consult a doctor.If diarrhea occurs, treatment should be discontinued.The user should consult a doctor or other qualified person working in a medical profession if symptoms of the disease persist or if side effects other than those mentioned in the package leaflet occur.
Interactions with other medicines are not known.Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, even if they are non-prescription medicines.
Safety during pregnancy and breastfeeding has not been established.The use of Cefadyn is therefore not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women.Before taking/using any medicines, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.
There is no information on the effect on the ability to drive and use machines.
This medicine contains lactose.Please only take Cefadyn after consulting your doctor if you know that you suffer from an intolerance to certain sugars (e.g. lactose or fructose intolerance).
How to take Cefadyn?
Always take Cefadyn exactly according to the instructions in this leaflet.Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.The usual dose is: Adults take 1 film-coated tablet 1-2 times a day.Children/Adolescents: Cefadyn is not suitable for use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
Cefadyn film-coated tablets are swallowed whole with plenty of liquid (e.g. ½ glass of water).
If symptoms persist for more than two weeks, a doctor should be consulted.Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of Cefadyn is too strong or too weak.
Poisoning after taking large amounts of Cefadyn is not known.No special measures are therefore required.Do not take a double dose if you forget to take it, but continue taking it as prescribed by your doctor or as described in the instructions for use.
What side effects are possible?
Like all medicines, Cefadyn can have side effects, although not everyone gets them.Possible side effects include diseases of the gastrointestinal tract such as nausea, gastrointestinal complaints, diarrhea and intestinal inflammation (lymphocytic colitis). Immune system disorders such as allergic reactions (including skin reactions) are also possible.There is no information about the frequency of these possible side effects.
If you notice any side effects, contact your doctor or pharmacist.This also applies to side effects that are not listed in this leaflet.
How to store Cefadyn?
Keep medicines out of the reach of children.You may no longer use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the blister pack and outer carton after “Use by”.Do not store above 25°C.

The active ingredient is: 1 film-coated tablet contains: dry extract of butcher's broom rhizome (5.0 - 8.5: 1) 86 mg.Extractant: Ethanol 80% (V/V).The other ingredients are: cellactose, cellulose powder, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, copovidone, povidone (25), talc, macrogol (35000), colloidal silicon dioxide, hypromellose, titanium dioxide (E 171), polyacrylate, iron(III)oxide (E 172).
Cefadyn film-coated tablets are brown-red, round, convex film-coated tablets without a score line.Blister packs made of PVC/PVDC-foil and aluminum foil.Original packs with 20 or 100 film-coated tablets.
