Area of application

Venoruton intens film-coated tablets are a herbal medicine for the treatment of venous diseases.It promotes blood circulation, reduces pain and swelling in the ankles and legs and relieves symptoms such as tension, tingling and heaviness in the legs.The preparation is suitable for chronic venous diseases and can also be used during pregnancy from the fourth month onwards.It also serves as a protective medication in radiation treatment and diabetic microangiopathy.

Mode of action

Venoruton intens film-coated tablets help with venous insufficiency by regulating the permeability of the weakened vein walls.This means that less fluid can escape from the fine vessels into the surrounding tissue, which leads to a reduction in edema and swelling.In addition, microcirculation in the legs is promoted.

One film-coated tablet of Venoruton intens contains 500 mg of hydroxyethylrutoside, also known as oxerutin.The other ingredients are polyacrylate dispersion 30%, talc, copovidone, yellow orange S, aluminum salt, magnesium stearate, titanium dioxide and macrogol 6000.

Contraindications

This medicine must not be taken if you are allergic to the active ingredient poly(O-2-hydroxyethyl)rutoside or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Dosage

The recommended dose is one film-coated tablet twice daily.The duration of use depends on the symptoms and is generally not limited in time.If symptoms persist, treatment can be continued for a longer period of time after consulting a doctor.There are no known cases of poisoning, so no action is required in the event of an overdose.If you forget a dose, do not take a double dose.

Intake

Take the film-coated tablets whole with a little liquid during meals or immediately afterwards.

Patient information

In individual cases it may happen that the carrier structure of the film-coated tablet appears in the stool without affecting the release of the active ingredient.The medicine has no influence on the ability to drive or use machines.

Pregnancy

Since there is only insufficient experience in the first months of pregnancy, you should only take the medicine if you want to have children or during pregnancy after consulting your doctor.There are no studies on the transfer of the active ingredient into breast milk during breastfeeding, but traces of the active ingredient found in animal experiments are probably harmless to human infants.
