Instructions for use of Curazink hard capsules

Curazink 15 mg hard capsules are a zinc preparation that is used to treat clinically confirmed zinc deficiency conditions, provided these cannot be remedied by changing your diet.No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The active ingredient in Curazink hard capsules is zinc.One hard capsule contains 94 mg zinc histidine dihydrate, which corresponds to 15 mg zinc.The other ingredients are gelatin, magnesium stearate (vegetable), corn starch, sodium dodecyl sulfate, titanium dioxide (E 171) and purified water.

Areas of application

Curazink is used to treat zinc deficiency conditions.Zinc is an essential trace element contained in almost all cells and organs and plays an important role in the function of 300 human enzyme systems.It is particularly important for an intact immune system, healthy skin, full hair and strong fingernails.

Dosage and application

The usual dose for children aged 12 and over, teenagers and adults is 1 Curazink capsule daily.The capsules should be taken with meals.If you have problems swallowing the capsule, the contents can be stirred into liquid and drunk.The duration of use is determined by the attending physician.

Contraindications

Curazink must not be taken if you are allergic to zinc or any of the other ingredients of the medicine.Patients with stomach ulcers, acute kidney failure or severe kidney tissue damage should only take the product after consulting a doctor.During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the product should only be used as recommended by a doctor.

Side effects

Like all medicines, Curazink can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.Very rarely, gastrointestinal complaints such as nausea, vomiting and diarrhea can occur.Skin reactions such as rash and itching can also occur very rarely.Long-term use can lead to a copper deficiency.

Interactions

Curazink may interfere with the absorption of certain antibiotics such as tetracyclines and quinolones.There should therefore be a time interval of at least 3 hours between taking zinc and these antibiotics.The intake of complexing agents, phosphates, iron, copper and calcium salts can also influence zinc absorption.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.A zinc deficiency that cannot be corrected by changing your diet can be treated with Curazink under medical supervision during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Storage

Keep Curazink out of the reach of children and do not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the package.This medicine does not require any special storage conditions.
