Instructions for use of Erysidoron 2 tablets

Erysidoron 2 tablets is an anthroposophic medicine that is used for various inflammations.It is available without a prescription.The areas of application include not very severe (subacute) and chronic recurring inflammations such as acne, furunculosis, erysipelas and inflammation of the mammary glands (mastitis).

Active ingredients and ingredients

Each tablet contains 10 mg birch charcoal (Carbo Betulae) and 20 mg sulfur (Sulfur Trit. D1) as active ingredients.In addition, the preparation contains lactose monohydrate, wheat starch, calcium behenate and microcrystalline cellulose as other ingredients.

Contraindications

Erysidoron 2 tablets must not be taken during pregnancy.The medicine should also not be used if you are hypersensitive to birch charcoal, sulfur, wheat starch or any of the other ingredients.

Dosage and intake

Always take Erysidoron 2 exactly as your doctor has told you.The usual dose for chronic recurrent inflammation is 1-2 tablets 1-3 times a day.In the subacute stage, 1 tablet can be taken with Erysidoron 1, alternating every hour up to 6 times a day.Small children from 2 to 6 years of age receive ½ tablet as a single dose, school children up to the age of 12 receive 1 tablet.The tablets should be taken with some liquid.Small children can be given the tablets crushed to make them easier to swallow.

Patient information

Erysidoron 2 should not be used without medical advice and does not replace other medicines prescribed by a doctor.If you experience fever, signs of phlebitis or inflammation of the lymphatic vessels, as well as rapid, widespread redness, swelling and/or blistering, you should consult a doctor immediately.If you have boils or erysipelas on the face, you should consult a doctor.The product is not suitable for use in infants and children under 2 years of age.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Before using Erysidoron 2 if you are breastfeeding, ask your doctor for advice.

Side effects

Like all medicines, Erysidoron 2 can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.Wheat starch can cause hypersensitivity reactions.If you notice any side effects, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

No prescription is required for this product.You must not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the label and carton.Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure about using this medicine.
