The Cellacare Achillo is an active bandage that was specially developed to relieve and support the Achilles tendon.It compresses the joint and Achilles tendon area and promotes blood circulation through friction massage.The anatomically shaped Lymphtec silicone pad covers the tendon canal from the heel to the lower leg and specifically supports lymphatic drainage, which leads to a reduction in swelling and bruising.

The bandage offers a high level of comfort thanks to its high cotton content, which is very skin-friendly, and its anatomical fit.It can be worn on the right or left and has a compression-reduced fabric in the instep area to avoid constrictions.The color of the bandage is blue/black.

The Cellacare Achillo is suitable for the treatment of acute and chronic irritation conditions in the Achilles tendon area, such as achillodynia, achillea and subachillea bursitis, peritendinitis, peritendinosis and tendinitis.It is also used postoperatively after a rupture or partial rupture of the Achilles tendon, a bursectomy and after surgery on the gliding tissue of the Achilles tendon.

To provide additional relief for the Achilles tendon, an included heel wedge can be inserted into the shoe.Another heel wedge can be worn on the healthy foot to compensate for the difference in leg length and prevent pelvic tilt.

The Lymphtec silicone pad specifically promotes lymphatic drainage and thus supports healing.

The bandage is made of cotton, polyamide, elastodiene (natural latex), elastane, silicone and polyurethane.

Areas of application

The Cellacare Achillo is used for acute, chronic, post-traumatic or postoperative irritation in the Achilles tendon area.It is suitable for the treatment of achillodynia, achillea and subachillea bursitis, peritendinitis, peritendinosis and tendinitis.It is also used postoperatively after Achilles tendon rupture or partial rupture as well as in bursectomy and operations on the gliding tissue of the Achilles tendon.

Notes

The bandage should not be worn during long periods of rest.It is washable at 30°C, but should not be ironed, machine dried, bleached or dry cleaned.

Size 5 of the Cellacare Achillo is suitable for a pastern circumference of 26 to 29 cm.
