Instructions for use of Vomex A suppositories
Vomex A suppositories are an anti-nausea and vomiting agent from the group of H1 antihistamines.They contain the active ingredient dimenhydrinate and are suitable for the prevention and treatment of nausea and vomiting of various origins, especially motion sickness.Vomex A suppositories are intended for adolescents aged 14 and over and adults weighing over 56 kg.

Vomex A suppositories are used to prevent and treat nausea and vomiting of various origins, especially motion sickness.They are suitable for teenagers aged 14 and over and adults weighing over 56 kg.
Note: Dimenhydrinate is not suitable for the sole treatment of nausea and vomiting following drug treatment for cancer (cytostatic therapy).
Active ingredients and ingredients
Each suppository contains 150 mg of dimenhydrinate as an active ingredient and hard fat as an excipient.
Contraindications
Vomex A suppositories must not be used if you are allergic to dimenhydrinate, other antihistamines or hard fat.You should also do this if you have an acute asthma attack, glaucoma (angle-closure glaucoma), adrenal gland tumor (pheochromocytoma), disorder of blood pigment production (porphyria), enlargement of the prostate gland (prostatic hyperplasia) with residual urine formation, seizures (epilepsy, eclampsia) or cardiac arrhythmias (e.g. palpitations, Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome).Do not use product.
In general, the active ingredient of Vomex A (dimenhydrinate) must not be used if you weigh less than 6 kg.
Dosage and application
Always use Vomex A suppositories exactly according to the instructions in the package leaflet.The dosage of dimenhydrinate should be based on the patient's body weight.For small and light adolescents, a single dose of the lowest dosage in the relevant weight and age group can be enough to relieve the symptoms.Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, daily doses of 5 milligrams per kilogram of body weight should not be exceeded.
Adults and adolescents over 14 years of age receive a suppository 1 - 2 times daily (corresponding to 150 - 300 mg dimenhydrinate).If the effect is not sufficient at this dosage, adults and adolescents who weigh more than 70 kg can, if necessary, receive one suppository up to 3 times a day.The upper limit is a maximum of 400 mg dimenhydrinate per day.
To prevent motion sickness, the first dose is given approx. 1/2 -1 hour before the start of the journey.To treat nausea and vomiting, doses are given at regular intervals throughout the day.Suppositories should be inserted deep into the rectum.
Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, Vomex A suppositories are only intended for short-term use.If symptoms persist, you should consult a doctor.After 2 weeks of treatment at the latest, your doctor should check whether treatment with Vomex A suppositories is still necessary.
Side effects
Like all medicines, Vomex A suppositories can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.Possible side effects include drowsiness, drowsiness, dizziness, muscle weakness, dry mouth, increased heart rate (tachycardia), feeling of a stuffy nose, visual disturbances, increased intraocular pressure, urination problems, gastrointestinal complaints such as nausea, pain in the stomach area, vomiting, constipation or diarrhea, mood swings, restlessness, agitation, insomnia, anxiety, tremors, allergic skin reactions, skin sensitivity to light andLiver dysfunction.
With prolonged treatment with dimenhydrinate, the development of drug dependence cannot be ruled out.For this reason, Vomex A suppositories should only be used briefly if possible.After long-term daily use, sudden cessation of treatment may temporarily cause sleep disorders.Therefore, in these cases, treatment should be stopped by gradually reducing the dose.
Storage
Keep Vomex A suppositories out of the reach of children.The medicine must not be used after the expiry date stated on the suppository packaging and the folding box.The expiry date refers to the last day of the month.Storage conditions: Do not store above 25°C.
