Areas of application

Levocetirizine ADGC 5 mg film-coated tablets are used for the symptomatic treatment of allergic rhinitis, including persistent allergic rhinitis, and urticaria in adults, adolescents and children aged 6 years and over.The tablets help with stuffy, tingling nose, itching, runny nose, red or watery eyes and skin reactions associated with hives.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The film-coated tablets contain the active ingredients levocetirizine dihydrochloride (5 mg) and levocetirizine (4.21 mg).The excipients included are cellulose, microcrystalline, crospovidone, lactose-1-water, lactose (60.3 mg), magnesium stearate (vegetable), Opadry white 03 B 28796, hypromellose, titanium dioxide, macrogol 400 and silicon dioxide, highly dispersed.Contains lactose.

Mode of action

The active ingredient levocetirizine blocks the receptor of the messenger histamine, which is responsible for itching and swelling.As a result, the active ingredient prevents the development of typical allergy symptoms and can relieve them quickly and effectively.

Dosage and application

Adults, teenagers and children aged 6 and over take 1 tablet daily without chewing and with plenty of water.It can be taken regardless of meals.Do not take the tablets for longer than three days without consulting a doctor.If symptoms do not improve or worsen, you should consider seeing a doctor.You should also discuss taking it with a doctor if you suffer from impaired kidney function, are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Contraindications

Levocetirizine ADGC 5 mg film-coated tablets must not be taken if you are allergic to levocetirizine dihydrochloride, cetirizine, hydroxyzine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine or if your kidney function is severely impaired.Children under 6 years of age should not take the tablets.

Side effects
