Instructions for use of Dolormin migraine film-coated tablets

Dolormin Migraine film-coated tablets contain the active ingredient ibuprofen in the form of ibuprofen-DL-lysine.This medicine is used for the symptomatic treatment of the acute headache phase of migraines with and without aura.It is suitable for children weighing more than 20 kg (from 6 years), teenagers and adults.No prescription is required for this product.

Mode of action

Ibuprofen belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and has analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory effects.The active ingredient inhibits the formation of prostaglandins, which are involved in the development of pain, inflammation and fever.When combined with lysine, ibuprofen is absorbed more quickly by the body and takes effect more quickly.

Areas of application

Dolormin Migraine film-coated tablets are used to treat acute headaches during migraine attacks.They can also help relieve symptoms associated with migraines.The medicine is suitable for children aged 6 and over (from a body weight of 20 kg), teenagers and adults.

Dosage and application

The tablets should be swallowed whole with plenty of liquid.If you have a sensitive stomach, it is recommended to take it with a meal.The dosage depends on body weight and age:

Children between 6 and 9 years (20-29 kg): Half a tablet (200 mg ibuprofen) as a single dose, maximum daily dose 1.5 tablets (600 mg ibuprofen).

Children between 10 and 11 years (30-39 kg): Half a tablet (200 mg ibuprofen) as a single dose, maximum daily dose 2 tablets (800 mg ibuprofen).

Adolescents aged 12 and over and adults (from 40 kg): One tablet (400 mg ibuprofen) as a single dose, maximum daily dose 3 tablets (1200 mg ibuprofen).

The dosing interval should not be less than 6 hours.The medicine is only intended for short-term use and should not be taken for longer than 3 days without medical advice.

Contraindications

Dolormin Migraine film-coated tablets must not be taken if you are known to be hypersensitive to ibuprofen or any of the other ingredients, if you have stomach or intestinal ulcers or have had them in the past, if you have stomach or intestinal bleeding, if you have severe liver or kidney dysfunction, if you have severe heart problems, in the last three months of pregnancy and in children under 20 kg (6 years of age).

Side effects

Like all medicines, Dolormin Migraine Film-Coated Tablets can have side effects, although not everyone gets them.Common side effects include gastrointestinal complaints such as nausea, vomiting, heartburn, flatulence, diarrhea, constipation and abdominal pain.Skin hypersensitivity reactions, headaches, dizziness, insomnia, fatigue, irritability and agitation may occasionally occur.Rarely, ringing in the ears, kidney tissue damage and increased uric acid concentrations in the blood can be observed.Very rarely, severe skin reactions, blood formation disorders, psychotic reactions, heart palpitations, high blood pressure, inflammation of the esophagus and pancreas can occur.

Interactions

Dolormin Migraine film-coated tablets can interfere with or be affected by other medicines.Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.Ibuprofen should not be used in the first six months of pregnancy.Ibuprofen should not be taken in the last trimester of pregnancy.During breastfeeding, ibuprofen should only be taken after consulting a doctor.

Storage

Keep this medicine out of the reach and reach of children.You must not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the carton and blister.Do not store above 25°C.

Composition

1 Film-coated tablet contains 400 mg ibuprofen as ibuprofen-DL-lysine (1:1).The other ingredients are microcrystalline cellulose, povidone (K 30), magnesium stearate (vegetable), titanium dioxide, hydroxypropyl cellulose, hypromellose.

Notes
