Ibu-LysinHEXAL® 400 mg film-coated tablets contains the active ingredient ibuprofen-DL-lysine.One film-coated tablet contains 684 mg ibuprofen-DL-lysine (1:1), equivalent to 400 mg ibuprofen.Other ingredients are microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, talc, colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate (vegetable), hypromellose, macrogol 6000 and glycerol 85 %.

Dosage

Adults can start with a starting dose of 200 mg or 400 mg ibuprofen (½ or 1 tablet).If necessary, an additional 200 mg or 400 mg can be taken, but not more than 1200 mg (3 tablets) within 24 hours.The interval between doses should not be less than 6 hours.For children weighing 20 kg or more and adolescents, the maximum total daily dose is 30 mg per kg of body weight, divided into 3 to 4 individual doses.

Intake

The film-coated tablets should be taken with water.Patients with sensitive stomachs should take the tablets with meals.

Pregnancy

During pregnancy, ibuprofen should only be taken after consulting a doctor.The preparation must not be taken in the last 3 months of pregnancy.It is usually not necessary to interrupt breastfeeding during breastfeeding.
