Sterillium® med

Sterillium® med is a hand disinfectant with a broad spectrum of action that also combats noroviruses and other enveloped viruses.It is free of dyes and perfumes and is suitable for both hygienic and surgical hand disinfection.The product maintains the skin's natural pH value and shows an excellent effect after just 15 seconds.Clinical studies have confirmed the care effect of the product.

Area of application

Sterillium® med is used for hygienic and surgical hand disinfection.It is particularly effective against enveloped viruses as well as non-enveloped adenoviruses, rotaviruses and noroviruses.It also has an antibacterial effect.The disinfectant is also suitable as part of the medicine cabinet.No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredients / ingredients / ingredients

100 Grams of Sterillium® med contain the following active ingredients and ingredients: Ethanol 99% in an amount of 85.0 grams. It also contains butan-2-one, 1-propanol (Ph. Eur.), tetradecan-1-ol, glycerol 85% and purified water.

Contraindications

Sterillium® med should not be used in the immediate vicinity of the eyes or open wounds.In case of contact with eyes, the opened eyes should be rinsed with running water for several minutes.People with hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or any of the other ingredients should not use the product.

Dosage

The disinfectant is applied undiluted to dry hands and rubbed in, covering all areas of the skin, especially the fingertips and thumbs.Hands should be kept moist throughout the rubbing process.

Intake

Sterillium® med is used undiluted.Studies have shown that it is effective against a variety of bacteria and fungi.During hygienic hand disinfection, it reduces the transient skin flora by over 99.99% within 30 seconds and, during surgical hand disinfection, it also acts against the resident skin flora within 1.5 minutes.

Patient information

Occasionally, mild dryness or irritation of the skin may occur.In such cases, it is recommended to intensify your skin care routine.Allergic reactions are rare.The product is intended for external use only.Due to the alcohol content, frequent use may cause skin irritation or inflammation.The disinfectant should not come into contact with open flames and should be kept away from sources of ignition.In the event of a spill, immediate action is required such as absorbing the liquid, diluting it with water, ventilating the room and eliminating sources of ignition.In the event of a fire, fire can be extinguished with water, dry powder, foam or CO2.The product may only be decanted under aseptic conditions.

Pregnancy

There are no data on use during pregnancy.

Sterillium® med is free of dyes and perfumes and dermatologically tested.It is particularly suitable for users with sensitive skin.When used regularly, the product increases skin moisture and is ideal for year-round infection prevention.

Application

For an optimal effect, all skin areas should be rubbed with a sufficient amount of Sterillium® med for at least 30 seconds.These include rubbing the palms of the hands together, rubbing the palms over the backs of the hands, rubbing the palms with the fingers spread and interlaced, rubbing the outside of the fingers on opposite palms with the fingers interlaced, rubbing the thumbs, and rubbing the fingertips closed together in the palms.Hands should be dry before disinfection.
