Antifect N Liquid is an alcohol-based disinfectant that is suitable for the rapid disinfection of non-invasive medical devices and surfaces close to patients with an increased risk of infection.It is particularly suitable for applications that require a short exposure time.No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The solution contains the following active ingredients: 24.75 grams of ethanol (94 percent) and 35 grams of propan-1-ol per 100 grams of solution.

Antifect N Liquid is used to disinfect medical devices and patient-related surfaces where quick and effective cleaning is required.It is particularly suitable for areas with an increased risk of infection.

Contraindications

People with known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients should not use the product.

Dosage and application

The disinfectant is applied undiluted to the surface to be disinfected, wiped and allowed to take effect.It is important that the surface is kept moist throughout the exposure time and that all visible dirt is removed before disinfection.The maximum application rate is 50 milliliters per square meter.The application is intended exclusively for professionals.Serious incidents related to the product must be reported to the manufacturer and the responsible authority.The product is not suitable for the final disinfection of semi-critical and critical medical devices.

Microbiological effectiveness

The product is bactericidal according to VAH-guidelines and EN-standards with shortened exposure times of one minute.It is also tuberculocidal according to EN14348 with an action time of one minute.It is also leurocidal according to VAH-guidelines and EN-standards with an action time of one minute.Antifect N Liquid is limited virucidal according to EN14476 with an exposure time of 30 seconds and limited virucidal PLUS according to EN14476 with an exposure time of 30 seconds.It is also effective against Polyoma SV40 according to DVV with an exposure time of five minutes.

Notes

Disinfectants must be used carefully.Always read the label and product information before use.The product is well compatible with metals and plastics, with the exception of acrylic glass and alcohol-sensitive paints.Surfaces that are particularly sensitive to alcohol, such as acrylic glass, must not be treated.When using alcohol-based disinfectants, fire and explosion protection must be observed in accordance with the BR-rule "Disinfection work in the healthcare sector".The product should be kept away from heat and sources of ignition.Wearing protective gloves is recommended.Further details are available upon request.The shelf life of the opened containers can be found on the packaging.
