Eur.), talc, magnesium stearate (Ph. Eur.), hypromellose, titanium dioxide (E 171), lactose monohydrate, macrogol 4000 and sodium citrate.

Application and dosage

The tablets are easily divisible and should be swallowed whole with plenty of liquid.If you have a sensitive stomach, we recommend taking it with meals.At least 4 hours should pass before taking it again.Do not take the product for longer than 4 days without medical advice.

Children between 6 and 9 years old can take a maximum of 1.5 tablets per day, children between 10 and 12 years old can take a maximum of 2 tablets per day.Adolescents and adults weighing 40 kg or more can take 1/2 to 1 tablet, but no more than 3 tablets per day.

Contraindications

Dosage

Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the following dosage guidelines apply.Always take the preparation exactly as directed.Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.Do not take it for more than 4 days without medical or dental advice.

Children between 6 and 9 years (20 kg - 29 kg) can take 1/2 film-coated tablet as a single dose, up to a maximum of 1 1/2 film-coated tablets per day.Children between 10 and 12 years (30 kg - 39 kg) can take 1/2 film-coated tablet as a single dose, a maximum of 2 film-coated tablets per day.Adolescents and adults weighing 40 kg or more can take 1/2 to 1 film-coated tablet as a single dose, up to a maximum of 3 film-coated tablets per day.

If you have taken the maximum single dose, wait at least 6 hours before taking your next dose.No special dosage adjustment is required for the elderly.

Intake

Please take the film-coated tablets whole with plenty of liquid (e.g. B. a glass of water) during or after a meal.For patients who have a sensitive stomach, it is recommended to take the product during meals.

Patient information

Concomitant use with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should be avoided.Side effects can be reduced by using the lowest effective dose for the shortest period of time necessary to control symptoms.

Older patients are more likely to experience side effects after using NSAR , especially bleeding and perforations in the stomach and intestines, which can be life-threatening under certain circumstances.Therefore, particularly careful medical monitoring is required in older patients.

Anti-inflammatories/pain relievers such as ibuprofen may be associated with a slightly increased risk of a heart attack or stroke, especially when used in high doses.Do not exceed the recommended dose or treatment duration.

Pregnancy

If pregnancy is discovered while using the medication, the doctor should be notified.You may only use ibuprofen in the first and second trimesters of pregnancy after consulting your doctor.The product must not be used in the last trimester of pregnancy due to an increased risk of complications for mother and child.

The active ingredient ibuprofen and its breakdown products only pass into breast milk in small quantities.Since there are no known adverse consequences for the infant, it is generally not necessary to interrupt breastfeeding if used for a short period of time.However, if longer use or higher doses are prescribed, early cessation of breastfeeding should be considered.
