IBUPROFEN ADGC® is used for the short-term symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain and fever.Its active ingredient is well tolerated and can be used in children aged 6 and over.The dosage for children and adolescents is determined depending on body weight.

IBUPROFEN ADGC® 400 mg film-coated tablets contains the active ingredient ibuprofen.One film-coated tablet contains 400 mg ibuprofen.The other ingredients are: Tablet core: highly disperse silicon dioxide (Ph. Eur.), microcrystalline cellulose (Ph. Eur.), pre-gelatinized starch [Mais] (Ph. Eur.), carboxymethyl starch sodium (type A) (Ph. Eur.), talc (Ph. Eur.), magnesium stearate (Ph. Eur.).Film coating: Hypromellose (Ph. Eur.), Titanium dioxide (E 171) (Ph. Eur.), Lactose monohydrate (Ph. Eur.), Macrogol 4000 (Ph. Eur.), Sodium citrate (Ph. Eur.).

Area of application

IBUPROFEN ADGC® 400 mg film-coated tablets is used for the short-term symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain and fever.It can help with different types of pain such as headaches, back pain, neck pain, muscle pain, toothache or period pain.

Dosage

Recommended use of IBUPROFEN ADGC® 400 mg film-coated tablets: Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or exactly as discussed with your doctor or pharmacist.Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.

In adults, if it is necessary to take this medicine for more than 3 days for fever or for more than 4 days for pain, or if symptoms worsen, medical advice should be sought.

In children and adolescents, if it is necessary to take this medicine for more than 3 days or if symptoms worsen, consult a doctor.

Age (body weight) Single dose Maximum daily dose: Children 6-9 years (approx. 20-29 kg) ½ film-coated tablet IBUPROFEN ADGC (equivalent to 200 mg ibuprofen) 1½ film-coated tablets IBUPROFEN ADGC (equivalent to 600 mg ibuprofen).Children 10-12 years (approx. 30-39 kg) ½ film-coated tablet IBUPROFEN ADGC (corresponding to 200 mg ibuprofen) 2 film-coated tablets IBUPROFEN ADGC (corresponding to 800 mg ibuprofen).Adolescents aged 12 and over and adults (≥ 40 kg) ½-1 film-coated tablet IBUPROFEN ADGC (corresponding to 200-400 mg ibuprofen) 3 film-coated tablets IBUPROFEN ADGC (corresponding to 1,200 mg ibuprofen).

If you or your child have taken the maximum single dose, wait at least 6 hours before taking the next dose.

Please take the film-coated tablets whole with plenty of liquid (e.g. a glass of water) during or after a meal.For patients who have a sensitive stomach, it is recommended to take IBUPROFEN ADGC® during meals.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients mentioned above, IBUPROFEN ADGC® 400 mg film-coated tablets should not be used.

Application

Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over (from 40 kg body weight): Single dose: 200-400 mg ibuprofen;Total daily dose: 1200 mg ibuprofen.

Children aged 10-11 years (approx. 30-39 kg body weight): Single dose: 200 mg ibuprofen;Total daily dose: 800 mg ibuprofen.

Children aged 6-9 years (approx. 20-29 kg body weight): Single dose: 200 mg ibuprofen;Total daily dose: 600 mg ibuprofen.

The respective dosage interval depends on the symptoms and the maximum total daily dose.It should not be less than 6 hours.
