Grippostad C hard capsules are an over-the-counter medicine for the symptomatic treatment of cold symptoms.It is suitable for adults and teenagers aged 12 and over.

Grippostad C hard capsules are used to relieve common complaints such as headaches and body aches, runny nose and dry cough as part of a simple cold.If there is a simultaneous fever or increased body temperature, the product has an antipyretic effect.The fixed combination of active ingredients enables comprehensive treatment of the symptoms.

Active ingredients

The hard capsules contain the following active ingredients: paracetamol, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), caffeine and chlorphenamine maleate.This combination is effective against pain, fever, dry cough and supports the immune system.

Other components

In addition to the active ingredients, Grippostad C hard capsules also contain gelatin, glycerol tristearate, lactose monohydrate, quinoline yellow (E104), erythrosine (E127) and titanium dioxide (E171).

Paracetamol relieves headaches and body aches and helps reduce fever.Caffeine increases the pain-relieving effect of paracetamol and allows the dose of paracetamol to be reduced, which relieves the burden on the body.Ascorbic acid, better known as vitamin C, supports the immune system.Chlorphenamine belongs to the group of antihistamines and relieves dry coughs, makes it easier to breathe, supports the swelling of the nasal mucosa and reduces excessive mucus secretion.

Application

Adolescents aged 12 and over and adults should take 2 capsules of Grippostad C with liquid (e.g. 1 glass of water) 3 times a day (morning, lunch and evening).The total dose should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.You should not use the medicine for longer than 3-4 days without medical advice.

Composition

Each capsule contains 200 mg paracetamol, 2.5 mg chlorphenamine hydrogenmaleate, 1.76 mg chlorphenamine, 150 mg ascorbic acid and 25 mg caffeine as active ingredients.Gelatin, glycerol tristearate, lactose-1-water, lactose, quinoline yellow, erythrosine and titanium dioxide are included as excipients.

Mode of action

The combination of the different active ingredients achieves several effects: Paracetamol works against body aches and reduces fever.Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) supports the body's own defenses.Chlorphenamine has a decongestant effect on the nasal mucosa, but also makes you tired.Caffeine counteracts unwanted tiredness and at the same time increases the pain and fever-reducing effects of paracetamol.

No prescription is required for this product.The ability to react can also be impaired when used as intended, especially in higher doses or in combination with alcohol.Pay particular attention when you drive or operate machines (including at home) that could cause you injury.Habitual use of painkillers can cause permanent kidney damage.If several painkillers are combined, or if one painkiller contains several active ingredients, the risk of this increases.If you drink alcohol regularly or at high levels, life-threatening conditions can arise due to existing liver damage if the medicine is also used.Be careful if you are allergic to painkillers, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), dyes (e.g. Quinoline yellow with the E number E 104) or if you have an intolerance to lactose.If you have to follow a diabetes diet, you should consider the sugar content.There may be medicines with which interactions occur.You should therefore generally tell your doctor or pharmacist before starting treatment with a new medicine that you are already using.This also applies to medicines that you buy yourself, only use occasionally or that were used some time ago.
