The size of the syringe influences the risk of catheter damage.Syringes with a smaller piston diameter build up greater pressure than syringes with a larger piston diameter.Whichever size of the BD PosiFlush system you choose, all sizes are equipped with a uniform piston diameter that corresponds to a standard 10 ml syringe and have a low pressure build-up.In terms of the diameter of the irrigation system, all BD PosiFlush irrigation systems correspond to the manufacturer's recommendations for central venous catheters.
