The Fesmed gauze swab FES-swab is a high-quality product that is available in different versions.It is 20-thread and complies with the DIN EN 14079-VM 20 standard. The swab is made of 100% cotton and is available in different layers.The cut edges are securely arranged on the inside.The swabs are offered both sterile and non-sterile.The sterile version is steam sterilized at 134°C.

Packaging non-sterile

The non-sterile gauze swabs are packaged in a ziplock bag.

Packaging sterile

The sterile gauze swabs are sealed in a special paper bag and have a sterilization indicator.The secondary packaging consists of a folding box or a ziplock bag.

Properties and special features of the FES-Dab

The FES-swab is characterized by optimized absorbency, which is achieved through a special Fesmed fold.A 20-layer absorbent body is created from two layers of basic cutting, while a 10-layer absorbent body is created from one layer of basic cutting.The swab can also be used as a small wound pad.By avoiding bulges and crumples, an even distribution of pressure on the injured skin is achieved.When used intraoperatively, the rapid "suction" of all types of wound fluid through the "corners" enables efficient use.It is also possible to “reach into” the swab with tweezers.The high variability of use is guaranteed by the large number of sizes available.
