Imidin® N nasal spray

Imidin® N nasal spray offers noticeable relief from the nose and sinuses.It is also suitable for allergic rhinitis and has a quick and long-lasting effect.The product is suitable for adults and children aged 6 and over.

A runny nose is a natural defense reaction of the body.When viruses, bacteria or allergens hit the nasal mucosa, it swells and produces more mucus.This can make breathing difficult, cause a feeling of congestion, trigger constant sneezing, and create pressure in the sinuses.Imidin® N nasal spray helps to relieve these symptoms and allows you to breathe freely.

The active ingredient xylometazoline hydrochloride reduces the swelling of the swollen mucous membranes in the nose, reduces secretion formation and clears the respiratory tract.This is particularly beneficial at night for a restful sleep.

With just one spray per nostril, applied 2 to 3 times a day, Imidin® N nasal spray reliably ensures free breathing.The entire Imidin® product family is lactose-free and made without any gluten-containing recipe ingredients.

Area of application

Imidin® N nasal spray is used to reduce the swelling of the nasal mucosa in the event of a cold, episodic runny nose (rhinitis vasomotorica) and allergic rhinitis (rhinitis allergica).It is suitable for adults and school children aged 6 and over.

Mode of action

The mucous membrane decongestant effect of Imidin® N nasal spray is based on the vasoconstricting properties of the active ingredient xylometazoline.

Dosage

Adults and children aged 6 years and over can use one spray in each nostril up to 3 times a day if necessary.The dosage depends on individual sensitivity and clinical effect.The application should not last longer than 5 days.If you use it again, you should take a break of several days.

Intake

The medicine is intended for use in the nose.Before using for the first time, press the spray head several times until an even spray mist comes out.Hold the dosing spray bottle as vertically as possible and pump once per nostril.Breathe in gently through your nose while spraying.For hygiene reasons, wipe the spray head after each use and put the protective cap back on.

Patient information

Please note that long-term use of mucous membrane decongestant cold medicines can lead to persistent swelling and ultimately loss of the nasal mucosa.Long-term use, especially in children, should be avoided.Higher dosages may only be used under medical supervision.

With prolonged use or higher doses of the drug, effects on cardiac and circulatory functions or the nervous system cannot be ruled out.In these cases, the ability to drive a motor vehicle and operate machines may be impaired.Please note that alcohol will make your ability to drive even worse!

Pregnancy

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.

The medicine should not be used during pregnancy as there are insufficient studies on the unborn child.It should not be used during breastfeeding as it is not known whether the active ingredient or its breakdown products pass into breast milk.

Notes

Before using for the first time, hold the bottle with the opening facing upwards and activate the pump mechanism several times until a fine mist is created.You can then use Imidin® nasal spray as described.No prescription is required for this product.

Contraindications

Imidin® N nasal spray must not be used in cases of hypersensitivity to one of the components of the product, in cases of dry inflammation of the nasal mucosa with crust formation (rhinitis sicca), in angle-closure glaucoma and in children under 6 years of age.It must also not be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding, as there are insufficient studies in these cases.
