How to use nasic® nasal spray correctly

For optimal use, the nasic® nasal spray has a firmly integrated spray head.First remove the protective cap from the spray head.Before first use, pump several times until an even spray comes out.Then hold the spray head as vertically as possible into one of your nostrils and pump once.Then repeat this for the other nostril.After use, wipe the spray head and put the protective cap back on.Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, take the medicine as needed up to 3 times a day in the form of a spray into each nostril.However, in total, you should not use the nasal spray for longer than seven days unless otherwise directed by your doctor.Before using nasic® again, you should take a break for a few days.The use of nasic® for children is safe from the age of 6 years.Long-term use should be avoided, especially by children.

Application

Adults and children over 6 years of age can use one spray into each nostril up to 3 times daily as needed.The dosage depends on individual sensitivity and clinical effect.Children under 6 years of age are not allowed to use the spray.The nasic® for children is available for ages 2 to 6 years.

Ingredients

Active ingredients per 0.1 ml solution (= 1 spray): 0.1 mg xylometazoline hydrochloride and 5.0 mg dexpanthenol.Other ingredients: Benzalkonium chloride (0.02 mg per spray), potassium dihydrogen phosphate, sodium monohydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate (Ph. Eur.), purified water.

Notes

The medicine should not be used for longer than 7 days.Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.

The nasic® nasal spray is used to reduce the swelling of the nasal mucosa in the event of a cold and to support the healing of skin and mucous membrane damage, episodic runny nose and to treat nasal breathing obstruction after surgical procedures on the nose. It is also approved for reducing the swelling of the nasal mucosa in the event of a cold in connection with acute inflammation of the paranasal sinuses.nasic® is intended for adults and school children.
