Directions for use of the article Naratriptan AL Akut 2,5 mg Film-Coated Tablets: - Naratriptan AL acute is used for the treatment of migraine. - Contains the active substance naratriptan. - Warning: Contains lactose and deoiled phospholipids from soya beans. - The medicinal product is not intended for long-term use or for use in higher doses without medical advice. - Order quantity may be adjusted if there are no conflicting medical instructions. - Read the package leaflet and ask your doctor or pharmacist about risks and side effects. - Naratriptan AL acute contains naratriptan hydrochloride, which belongs to the triptans and is used to treat migraines. - It helps to constrict blood vessels in the head and relieves headache and migraine symptoms such as nausea and sensitivity to light. - Do not take if allergic to naratriptan, soya, peanut or other ingredients of the medicine. - Do not take if you have heart disease, circulatory problems in the legs, stroke, high blood pressure, severe kidney or liver disease. - Caution in smokers over 40 years of age or post-menopausal women. - In case of hypersensitivity to sulphonamide antibiotics, consult a doctor or pharmacist. - Too frequent use may worsen the headache, so discontinuation of the medicine may be recommended. - If you feel pain or tightness in the chest after taking the medicine, consult a doctor immediately. - Caution when taking medicines for depression or herbal preparations containing St. John's wort at the same time. - Take with or without food. - Pregnant women should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking the product. - Do not take while breastfeeding. - May cause drowsiness/lightheadedness, therefore do not drive or operate machinery. - Contains lactose, consult doctor before use if intolerant. - Dosage and recommended use according to the package leaflet. - Not recommended for children under 18 years of age or adults over 65 years of age. - In case of overdose do not take more than 2 film-coated tablets within 24 hours and consult doctor. - Possible side effects: Nausea, vomiting, tiredness, drowsiness, dizziness, feeling of tingling, flushing, pain or feeling of pressure in the chest area, visual disturbances, changes in heartbeat, slight increase in blood pressure, pain in the lower left stomach area and bloody diarrhoea, heart problems, lack of blood flow to the arms and legs. - Naratriptan AL acute may cause allergic reactions in very rare cases. - Side effects should be reported to gather information on the safety of the medicine. - Keep medicinal product out of reach of children and do not use after expiry date. - Dispose of the medicinal product in an environmentally friendly way.
