Ibu-LYSIN STADA® 400 mg film-coated tablets contains the active ingredient ibuprofen-lysine.Lysine is an essential amino acid that the body cannot produce itself.Only through food, such asB. animal protein products, lysine can enter the body.In our product, lysine serves as an additive to accelerate the effect.The combination ibuprofen-lysine causes the tablet to dissolve quickly in the stomach and the active ingredient ibuprofen enters the bloodstream to quickly relieve pain and/or fever.

Area of application

This medicine is used for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain such as headache, period pain and toothache, as well as fever and pain associated with the common cold.No prescription is required for this product.

If you do not feel better or feel worse after 3 days of fever treatment and 4 days of pain treatment, contact your doctor.

Active ingredients / ingredients / ingredients

Ibu-lysin Stada 400 mg film-coated tablets contains: Each film-coated tablet contains 400 mg ibuprofen (as 684 mg ibuprofen-DL-lysine (1:1)).

Other ingredients: Tablet core: microcrystalline cellulose (E 460b), crospovidone (type A) (E 1202), copovidone, talc (E 553b), magnesium stearate (Ph. Eur.) [pflanzlich] (E 470b).Film coating: poly(vinyl alcohol), titanium dioxide (E 171), macrogol 4000, talc (E 553b).

Contraindications

Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to ibuprofen or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.It is also not permitted to take it if you have a history of gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation in connection with previous therapy with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, if you have existing or recurrent gastric/duodenal ulcers or bleeding in the past, if you have allergic reactions after taking acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs, if you have severe liver or kidney dysfunction or severe heart muscle weakness, if you have cerebral hemorrhage or other active bleeding, if you have more severe dehydrationand during the last three months of pregnancy.

Dosage

Dosage recommendation for Ibu-lysin Stada 400 Mg film-coated tablets: Adults and adolescents with a body weight of 40 kg or more (from 12 years).The starting dose is 400 mg ibuprofen.If necessary, additional doses may be taken every 6 hours.A total dose of 1,200 mg ibuprofen should not be exceeded in a 24 hour period.

The tablets should be taken with a glass of water.Patients who have a sensitive stomach are recommended to take Ibu-LYSIN STADA® during meals.

Intake

The medicine is to be taken orally.Take the tablets with a glass of water.For patients who have a sensitive stomach, it is recommended to take the preparation during meals.

Patient information

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking the medicine.Anti-inflammatory drugs/pain relievers such as ibuprofen may be associated with a slightly increased risk of a heart attack or stroke, especially when used in high doses.Do not exceed the recommended dose or treatment duration.

Concomitant use of Ibu-Lysine with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should be avoided.Gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers and perforations may occur.The risk of this is higher with increasing NSAR-dose, in patients with a history of ulcers and in older patients.

Severe skin reactions have been reported in association with treatment with ibuprofen.Stop taking the medicine and seek immediate medical attention if you notice any of the symptoms of these serious skin reactions.

The medicine may mask signs of infection such as fever and pain.If you take this medicine during an infection and your infection symptoms persist or worsen, consult a doctor immediately.

Severe acute hypersensitivity reactions are very rarely observed.At the first signs of a hypersensitivity reaction after taking the drug, treatment must be stopped and a doctor consulted.

Ibuprofen can temporarily inhibit platelet function.Patients with blood clotting disorders should therefore be carefully monitored.

If used for a longer period of time, regular monitoring of liver values, kidney function and blood counts is necessary.

Elderly patients should be aware that they are at increased risk of side effects, especially bleeding and perforation of the gastrointestinal tract, which can be fatal.

There is a risk of kidney dysfunction in dehydrated adolescents.

Ability to drive and use machines

When used for a short time and as directed, the medicine has no or negligible influence on the ability to drive and use machines.However, since central nervous side effects such as tiredness and dizziness can occur when used in higher doses, in individual cases the ability to react can be changed and the ability to actively participate in road traffic and operate machines can be impaired.This applies to an even greater extent when combined with alcohol.

Pregnancy

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

Do not take this medicine if you are in the last 3 months of pregnancy as it could harm your unborn baby or cause problems during birth.It can cause kidney and heart problems in your unborn baby.It can affect you and your baby's bleeding tendency and may cause labor to start later or take longer than expected.You should not take this medicine during the first 6 months of pregnancy unless absolutely necessary and recommended by your doctor.If you need treatment during this period or while you are trying to conceive, the dosage should be as low as possible and for as short a period of time as possible.

Only small amounts of ibuprofen pass into breast milk.The medicine can be taken during breast-feeding if the recommended dose is adhered to and it is used for the shortest possible time.

This medicine belongs to a group of medicines (NSAIDs) that may affect women's ability to reproduce.This effect is reversible after discontinuation of the drug.
