Ibu 400 acute - 1 A Pharma is a pain reliever and fever reducer that contains the active ingredient ibuprofen.It is used for the short-term treatment of mild to moderate pain such as headaches, toothaches and period pains, as well as to reduce fever.No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredients and ingredients

Each film-coated tablet contains 400 mg of the active ingredient ibuprofen.The excipients include microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, hypromellose, macrogol 400, vegetable magnesium stearate, colloidal silicon dioxide, talc and titanium dioxide.

Mode of action

Ibuprofen belongs to a group of substances that have pain-relieving, anti-inflammatory and fever-reducing effects.These effects are based on the inhibition of prostaglandins, which are involved in the development of pain, inflammation and fever in the body.

Application and dosage

The film-coated tablets are suitable for adults and children aged 6 years and over and a body weight of 20 kg.Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over can take ½ to 1 tablet if necessary, but not more than 3 tablets per day.Children 6 to 9 years old (20-29 kg body weight) should take ½ tablet 1-3 times daily, while children 10 to 12 years old (30-39 kg body weight) can take ½ tablet 1-4 times daily.The tablets should be swallowed whole with plenty of liquid, preferably with or after a meal.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be taken if you are hypersensitive to ibuprofen or any of the other ingredients, if you have stomach or intestinal ulcers, active bleeding, severe dehydration and in children under 6 years of age.Caution is advised in the case of gastrointestinal complaints, inflammatory bowel diseases, blood formation disorders, blood clotting disorders, high blood pressure, heart failure, coronary heart disease, circulatory disorders, impaired kidney or liver function and certain connective tissue diseases.

Side effects

Possible side effects include gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, heartburn, flatulence, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain, and gastrointestinal bleeding.Other possible side effects include headache, dizziness, insomnia, fatigue, irritability, agitation, rash, itching, shortness of breath, and vision problems.

Special Notes

If you have pain or fever, do not use for longer than stated in the package leaflet without medical advice.With long-term use of painkillers, headaches caused by the painkiller may occur.Habitual use of painkillers can cause permanent kidney damage.Caution is advised if you are allergic to painkillers or binding agents.Alcohol consumption should be avoided if possible while taking it.

Keep medicines out of the reach of children.This medicine does not require any special storage conditions.The medicine must not be disposed of in wastewater or household waste.Ask your pharmacist how to throw away medicine if you no longer need it.
