Kytta® pain ointment contains the following active ingredients and ingredients:

The active ingredient is comfrey root fluid extract.100 g of the ointment contains 35.0 g of comfrey root fluid extract (1:2) with ethanol 60% by volume.The other ingredients are 2-phenoxyethanol[butyl, ethyl, methyl, (2-methylpropyl), propyl] (4-hydroxybenzoate), sodium hydroxide, PPG-1-PEG-9 lauryl glycol ether, cetostearyl alcohol, glycerol monostearate, sodium dodecyl sulfate, peanut oil, purified water, lavender oil, spruce needle oil, rosemary oil, other fragrances as components of the special perfume oil PH (contains, among other things, benzyl alcohol, benzyl benzoate, citral, coumarin, eugenol, geraniol, hydroxycitronellal, limonene and linalool).

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients mentioned, the ointment should not be used.

Dosage

The ointment is applied to the affected area and massaged in gently.For acute back pain, a 12 cm long strand of ointment (equivalent to approx. 4 g of Kytta® pain ointment) can be applied three times a day.For children aged 8 and over and young people, depending on the size of the area of the body to be treated, a 4 - 6 cm long strand of ointment (corresponding to approx. 1.2 g to 2 g of Kytta® pain ointment) is applied two to three times a day.

The duration of use depends on the symptoms and the underlying disease.For acute muscle pain in the back area, sprains, bruises and strains, one application for 10 days is usually sufficient;In the case of knee osteoarthritis, use for up to 3 weeks may be necessary.Do not use for longer than 1 week in children aged 8 and over and adolescents.

Intake

The ointment is applied to the areas of the body to be treated and massaged in carefully.If the symptoms are more severe, an ointment bandage can be applied.To do this, 10 - 20 g of ointment are applied once a day and covered with suitable bandages.

Patient information

Particular caution is required when using it in children under 3 years of age as there are no sufficient studies available.Patients with previous allergic illness should apply the ointment to small areas, e.g.B. on the wrist, test for compatibility.If the symptoms do not improve within 3 - 4 days after self-treatment with the medication, you should consult a doctor.No special precautions are required when driving or using machines.

Pregnancy

It should only be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding after consulting a doctor.
