Mode of action

The meibomian glands on the upper and lower edges of the eyelids produce a fatty secretion that moisturizes and cleanses the surface of the eye.If the gland function is disturbed, this secretion thickens and clogs the glands, resulting in insufficient lubrication of the eyes.Heat treatment of the eyelids is recommended for diseases such as meibomian gland dysfunction, blepharitis, dry eyes, chalazion and stye.Using the Blepha Eyebag eye heat mask for 5 to 10 minutes liquefies thickened meibomian secretions and loosens the blockage of secretions.The loosened secretions can be gently removed by subsequently massaging the eyelids and cleaning with a cloth soaked in cleansing lotion or a pre-moistened compress.

Contraindications

Dosage

No special training is required to use the Blepha Eyebag eye heat mask.Before use, contact lenses or glasses should be removed and hands, face and eyelids should be thoroughly cleaned.For the first two weeks, the mask is used twice a day for 5 to 10 minutes.After that, one application 3 to 4 times per week is usually sufficient.The mask can be reused up to 200 times.

To heat the mask, place it on a clean, dry, microwave-safe surface.Before using it for the first time, warm it in the microwave at maximum power for one minute and then allow it to cool completely.For the following applications, the mask is heated according to the instructions in the instructions for use, shaken to distribute the heat evenly and then placed on the closed eyelids.After application, an eyelid massage and cleansing is carried out.
