Instructions for use of the article Hya-Ophtal sine eye drops: Hya-Ophtal sine eye drops are intended for the wetting and rewetting of hard and soft contact lenses during wear. They can be used as needed and there is no time limit for use. The drops are supplied in one-dose vials which should be discarded after use. They are applied by carefully detaching a one-dose ophtiole from a strip and turning the cap. The head is tilted slightly backwards and the lower eyelid is gently pulled down. The one-dose ophtiole is held vertically over the open eye and gently squeezed to dispense 1-2 drops into the eye. The eye is then closed and gently moved to distribute the drop on the surface of the eye. Hypersensitivity reactions may occur, in which case treatment should be discontinued. Deposits of calcium phosphate on the cornea have also been reported. Damaged single-dose ophtioles should not be used and should be kept out of the reach of children.
