Around 8 million people in Germany suffer from migraines.Typically, it is a periodically recurring, paroxysmal, pulsating and one-sided headache that can be accompanied by additional symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, sensitivity to light (photophobia) or sensitivity to sound (phonophobia).Naratriptan migraine STADA® provides relief here.The product is bioequivalent to the original Formigran®, the only over-the-counter medicine to date with the active ingredient Naratriptan.No prescription is required for this product.

Mode of action

Naratriptan has a narrowing effect on the painfully dilated blood vessels caused by migraines and thus relieves local migraine pain such as severe headaches.Accompanying symptoms such as nausea, sensitivity to light or noise can also be alleviated in this way.

Naratriptan Migraine STADA 2.5mg contains the active ingredient Naratriptan.One film-coated tablet contains 2.5 mg naratriptan as naratriptan hydrochloride.The other ingredients are: Tablet core: microcrystalline cellulose, hyprolose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate (vegetable), maltodextrin, pre-gelatinized starch (corn), highly dispersed silicon dioxide.Film coating: Opadry II green, consisting of macrogol 3350, poly(vinyl alcohol), deoiled phospholipids from soybeans, talc, indigo carmine, aluminum salt (E 132), titanium dioxide (E 171), iron (III) hydroxide oxide x H2O (E 172).

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the above ingredients, this product should not be used.

Dosage

Adults take one tablet of Naratriptan Migraine STADA® after the onset of the migraine headache.If pain recurs, another tablet can be taken after 4 hours unless you have liver or kidney disease.No patient should take more than 2 film-coated tablets within 24 hours.Do not take Naratriptan Migraine STADA® as a preventive measure.

Intake

The usual dose for adults aged 18 to 65 is one film-coated tablet, taken whole with water.
